What it looks like...
Armed:
A tiny striker is cleverly concealed under the lid, set to ignite a frighteningly large vial of naphtha.
Set off!
You barely have time to register a faint click before a blinding flash explodes around you, and you find yourself being hurled half-senseless through the air!
You are stunned!
Set off by someone else:
A huge fireball erupts around <Person>, tossing <him> senseless through the air.
<You are caught in the blast.>
Successfully disarmed:
Working with extreme care, you poke a small hole in the <box> and through the vial, allowing the deadly naphtha to drain harmlessly to the ground.
Disarmed (safe):
There is a small hole in the front of the <box>, and a damp stain down the front, as if something had been poured out the hole.
Notes:
Armor helps protect body parts against the blast. Though I still need to test this further, I think an Ethereal Shield spell also helps. Initial testing was inconclusive. The blast may singe others in the room, but usually not too seriously. I've heard it affects those in the picker's group, but haven't tested this. Set off, it may drop some contents into the room, but the box itself will be gone.

Glance:
There's that tiny striker near a vial of liquid. That can only mean it's the naphtha trap.
