Looking blearily up through smoke and pieces of wafting debris, you realize that you must have been less than successful.

Set off by someone else:

<Person> leans closer to the <type> <box>, sniffing suspiciously until a small explosion sends <him> flying back on <his> duff.

Successfully disarmed:

You manage to work the contact fibers away from the cube of black powder lodged inside the lock casement.

Disarmed (safe):

Several strands of wicker detonator lay inside the casement, separated harmlessly from their charge.
