Just as your ears register the sound of a sharp snap, some crossbow bolts fly out the front of the <box> right into your body!

Working with extreme care, you cautiously bend closed the metal plates over the bolts so that the openings are sealed shut.

A row of concealed openings on the front of the <box>, have been bent in such a way that they no longer will function.
|

Notes:
|
Depending on how many bolts are fired from the box, words may be singular or plural. Hence the separate listings. Also, crossbow bolts can be harvested from the victim. These, like boomers, are sometimes used to induce bleeding, though less frequently.

Glance:

You see the tips of some bolts. They look sharp and clean so it must be the standard bolt trap.
